Dedicated to Richard Montgomery as a hero & early martyr of the American Revolution, who died in Québec City on December 31, 1775.

Having lived 15 years in Montréal within the modern-day province of Québec, I feel I must point out that the 'u' in Québec is supposed to be silent, even when pronounced in English; like Kébec, and not Qwébec. Just a little pet peeve of mine as I notice that mistake being made often - including in this song - but most all anglophones actually living inside the province of Québec pronounce it the French way too with a silent 'u'.
