At the Intersection of Peace on Earth & Nicolas Ave

Novelty signs for Peace on Earth & Nicolas Ave hanging outside my bedroom door. And yes, they spelled my name Nicolas the right way for once without the 'h' 🤭

Strangely enough I never bought these signs myself. Not sure I would have thought to back in the day when I was more careless. My Dad Gérard Raymond is the one who had the foresight to buy these signs for me, but he was quiet about it and kept them at home outside his computer room.

It's almost as if he was preparing the stage for me to return home. I think he might have put these up when he knew he was on borrowed time, and asked me if I could care for Mom. Surely enough, I moved back home after he died, and his computer room was perfect for me.These signs have not moved a single inch since then.

Especially near & dear to my heart is the constant hope for Peace on Earth. It's not just a cliché to me. Maybe it is partially because of all the times Dad used to repeat Peace on Earth, but Dad was also the kind of guy who travelled the world and tried his best to find common ground with people from completely different cultures. It worked for the most part too, he was very well liked.

So in my opinion, Dad earned his right to promote Peace on Earth any time he wanted. It's not a cliché to me because it never gets old. It's something we should always be striving for 🌎🌍🌏🕊️
