Vintage French Map - Newfoundland, Acadia, or New Scotland [Nova Scotia], Saint John Island [Prince Edward Island], and the Eastern Part of Canada

High resolution scan of a vintage French map showing Newfoundland, Acadia, or New Scotland [Nova Scotia], Saint John Island [Prince Edward Island], and the Eastern Part of Canada. Circa 1757.
Published right around the time of the French and Indian War, when control of Canada was very fluid between the French and English, but shifting in Great Britain's favor. Hence the lengthy title and names included in brackets, as Acadia is the French name, but in 1757 I believe they officially recognized it as New Scotland as well (or Nova Scotia today as a Latinized version of New Scotland). Saint John Island as named by the French was then renamed by the English to Prince Edward Island (as it remains known to this day).
