Flag of Cymlys processed with a
vintage marbled texture.
For those wondering, Cymlys is a semi-fictional place. First and foremost, it borrows from the first three letters of Cymru as the Welsh name for Wales, and Lys as an antiquated spelling for Lis, which means Lily in French. Similarly, the flag uses the Welsh dragon and Québec fleur-de-lys as a reflection of my heritage. I was born in Canada to a Québecois father and a Welsh mother. The crenelated quadrant design is also inspired from the flag of Montgomery County, Maryland, where I call home.
