Enhanced might not be the best word to describe the process for that matter since Gemini produces images that are still considerably smaller than my photos captured by camera. For comparison, the original photo came at 7170 x 4780 pixels, whereas the AI variant got generated at 2528 x 1684 pixels. That's a big difference to me, but then again, I doubt I could remove all the light reflections so convincingly with more traditional post-processing methods. Especially not in areas the light reflections overlap with the fish scales, that's where more serious reconstruction is required.

To be more technically accurate, maybe this could be called pseudo-AI enhanced. Not perfect, and the lower resolution means I disable prints. Still an interesting experiment though, and I like that the light reflections are gone. To me at least, it means one less distraction for better focus on the coelacanth fish itself.
